Volunteer at the Market
The award-winning Fishers Farmers’ Market returns this summer, and we need your help! Fishers Parks & Recreation is looking for Farmers' Market volunteers to help with vendor logistics and operations, serve as ambassadors for the Market, and more.
Individual and volunteer groups are welcome, and shifts are available from 7 - 10:15 AM and 10 AM - 1 PM.
Key responsibilities include:
- Helping merchants with load-in, booth setup, load-out, etc.
- Answering merchants' questions and assisting in operational duties and tasks, such as collecting daily income sheets, etc.
- Being a friendly and helpful representative and ambassador of the Market
- Assisting with other duties as needed
Volunteers will receive a Fishers Farmers' Market apron to wear during the event (and keep), and volunteers who sign up for a minimum of four Market days throughout the summer will receive a complimentary t-shirt to wear during their shifts. To sign up, create an individual volunteer profile.
New This Year: Market Day Group Volunteers
Volunteer Sponsorship opportunities are available for groups who want to gain visibility and have the opportunity to promote their group while volunteering at the Farmers' Market! Businesses, nonprofits, civic groups, and clubs will earn a free 10’ x 10’ booth space at the Market in exchange for providing full volunteer staffing for a Saturday (five volunteers per shift plus a sixth person to help manage them; additional staffing for the organization’s booth space is extra and not counted in this total). Groups are encouraged to have an interactive activity at their booth, and no selling or fundraising is permitted. Political and religious groups are not permitted at the Market.
