Fire & Emergency Services
Welcome to the Fishers Fire Department webpage. We are extremely proud of our community and the men and women who provide outstanding emergency services. We invite you to visit any of our seven fire stations where you will receive a warm welcome and understand how blessed we are to serve.

The Fishers Fire Department began the transition to a full-career department in 1989. In that time, we have progressed from an all-volunteer department to having more than 120 career firefighters/EMT's or paramedics. We provide service to more than 50-plus square miles of single and multiple-family dwellings as well as clean industrial and high-end technology parks.

Our firefighters do much more than just fight fires. They provide a wide variety of services within our community including but not limited to:
  • Emergency medical services, including advanced life support
  • Perform non-emergency calls for service
  • Fire prevention and investigation
  • Fire suppression and rescue services
  • Urban search and rescue
  • Water rescue and recovery
  • Confined space and technical rescue
  • Public education

As a proactive and progressive department, we prepare and implement a strategic plan to provide guidance and direction. This keeps us on the path of knowing who we are, what we do, and how we will accomplish our mission. The 2015-2018 Strategic Plan combines data, projections, and mission competency, and best practices to assure we are providing for our changing community and provide protection for our firefighters in the constant threat of danger, all within a timely manner and a value driven system. Business owners, please visit the Forms & Permits section of the website to add/edit your emergency contacts. You can find them under Fire Department forms.

For more comprehensive insight into our fire department please see our 2014 Annual Report. For new or current business updates or new business registration, please see Forms & Permits and scroll down to "Fire" under the "Commercial" category.

City of Fishers Special Needs Registry
The City of Fishers Special Needs Registry for first responders is designed to help in emergency situations. It can be vitally important for a first responder (a police officer, a fire fighter or an emergency medical technician) to know that a resident at the address has visual, hearing, mobility or other special needs. Register for the Special Needs Registry.
