Roundabouts
As Fishers continues to grow, so do the number of pedestrians, motorists and visitors traveling within our community. In an effort to efficiently service traffic and improve safety, Fishers is overseeing roundabout construction at various intersections. Including a partnership with INDOT and Hamilton County to invest $124 million along the State Road 37 corridor. Currently, around 15 roundabouts are located in the Fishers area.

Roundabouts yield up to a 90% reduction in accident fatalities and 75% fewer conflict points than four-way intersections. They also ensure slower vehicle speeds which allow more reaction time for drivers, according to the Federal Highway Administration. An estimated $5,000 is saved annually in electricity and maintenance costs. In an effort to better educate residents on roundabouts, please reference the information provided below.
