Fishers Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with Wasson Nursery to launch a new bold initiative to reforest Fishers, reduce consumption, and connect the community. The Set Roots initiative challenges local businesses to pledge to plant a tree in Fishers’ parks for every 1-50,000 pieces of paper used in an effort to help offset paper consumption.
Did you know that the average office worker uses 10,000 pieces of paper a year, and that it takes one 15-year-old tree to produce half a box of paper? These staggering facts are why we’re challenging the community to offset paper consumption and help reforest our community’s parks.
