Where can I get assistance for childcare while I get vaccinated?

Several Indiana organizations are offering free childcare for parents who want to get themselves or their older children vaccinated. Through early July, select locations of these organizations are opening their doors.

What do I need to know for Learning Care Group's childcare?

Once you’ve scheduled your vaccine appointment, call 833.459.3557 to arrange for child care on that date. This opportunity is available through July 4, 2021

What do I need to know for Kindercare childcare?

Kindercare is willing to offer free day childcare based on availability. Families will need to contact the Directors of the centers to discuss the day they would need, as it needs to be scheduled. Most centers, but not all, take children from 6wks to 12 years of age.

What do I need to know about The Y's childcare?

Please go to Play & Learn directly, you don’t need to pass by the member's services desk, but have to fill out a form.

Monday – Saturday 8-1pm, Monday – Thursday 4-8pm.

  • The Y is able to provide childcare for children ages 6 weeks – 12 years old.
  • No appointment necessary, walk-in, and the team leader will help with registration.
  • The Y does not feed kids during their stay in our Play & Learn and the max stay is 2 hours. If you are getting vaccinated and have an emergency, please contact the Y, and accommodations for a longer stay will be allowed.
  • No limitation on the number of kids.
  • Guardians can arrange for care to recuperate from side effects but have to fill out the authorized pick-up list.

How can I get assistance to travel to the vaccine site?

Indiana University Health is offering free rides to any COVID-19 vaccine site in the state.
