Fishers Police Department Cadet Program
*The FPD Cadet Program will recruit again in fall 2022*
The Fishers Police Department Cadet Program is for Fishers residents between the ages of 14 (or currently enrolled in the eighth grade) and 19 (or currently enrolled as a senior in high school) who are interested in a possible law enforcement career. Cadets receive classroom lessons and participate in hands-on training activities which are led by members of the police department to provide Cadets with the skills and qualifications needed in the law enforcement field. In addition, Cadets will receive training in areas such as radio communications, patrol tactics, and crowd control. The Fishers Police Cadets meet two Tuesdays a month during the school year with additional volunteer and ride-along opportunities throughout the year. Cadets must attend 70% of required activities to be eligible for range day, field day, and volunteer opportunities. There is a $100 fee for the Cadet Program.
Recruitment occurs at the beginning of each school year. For questions about the Cadet Program, contact Allison Nicholson at firstname.lastname@example.org or Samantha Higginbotham at email@example.com.
