[ARCHIVED] Fishers Police Arrest A Man For Pointing A Gun At Motorists

Fishers, (Indiana): Fishers police arrest a man for pointing a handgun at motorists near the intersection of 116th Street and Allisonville Road. 

Just before 5pm on July 31, 2022, officers responded to the area of 116th Street and Allisonville Road after receiving calls of a man pointing a handgun at motorists. Simultaneously the emergency crews from the Fishers Fire Department responded to the 7100 block of Merganser Drive to investigate a large amount of water coming from an apartment. As emergency crews approached the apartment, they observed suspicious packages and a chemical odor. Officers evacuated residents from the apartment building and established a perimeter. During the investigation police learned the man suspected of pointing a handgun was the resident of the apartment under investigation. A short time later police located the suspect and identified him as Darrell Ryan Scott. Scott was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

Charge:         Resisting Law Enforcement “A” Misdemeanor

                        Pointing a Firearm Level 6 Felony 

Held:              Hamilton County Jail
