Fishers, (Indiana): The Fishers Police Department has arrested a man for pointing a firearm at a motorist.

On May 14, 2023 at approximately 7:30am police officers from Fishers and Noblesville responded to the area of Watercrest Drive and Cumberland Road after a motorist called 911 to report a man pointed a gun at him. The victim told officers he was driving northbound on Cumberland Road when he observed a shirtless man walking eastbound cross the road in front of him. The man briefly stopped in the roadway, pointed a handgun at the victim, and continued walking into the Watercrest Neighborhood.

Officers established a perimeter and deployed an FPD Unmanned Aerial System (aka Drone) to search for the suspect. With the use of the UAS, officers quickly located a person matching the suspect’s description. Officers contacted the suspect and safely took him into custody. The suspect was in possession of an unloaded handgun.

The Fishers Police Department would like to thank the Noblesville Police Department for their assistance.
