(Fishers, Indiana) – Shortly after 2:00am, this morning, the Hamilton County Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding a serious motor vehicle crash on Interstate 69 near the 204 mile marker.

Upon their arrival Fishers police officers observed the crash involved a 2009 Ford Fusion passenger car. The Ford was occupied by a female driver and a male passenger. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Paramedics, with the Fishers Fire Department, transported the passenger to Methodist Hospital in critical condition.

According to witnesses the Ford was traveling northbound on Interstate 69. It appears the driver lost control and the car left the roadway. The Ford flipped and struck a tree on the east side of the interstate.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 69, between 96th Street and 116th Street, were closed for three hours while officers conducted their investigation.
