[ARCHIVED] Fishers Parks & Recreation Brings Meaningful Series to Library

Fishers Parks & Recreation invites you to the first-ever Nickel Plate Theatre Film and Speaker Series. This three-part series will include themed entertainment that bridges entertainment with impact. Each event will host a film and an engagement component centered upon a theme. The three events include:

• A presentation/demonstration from Title Boxing Club paired with “Rocky” on Friday, January 17
• Mark Cannon, an ACT! Lead for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network with federal advocacy experience, paired with “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” on Friday, February 7
• Frank Grunwald, an artist and educator who survived the Holocaust, and Kelly Watson, Regional Education Corps, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum will host a roundtable discussion paired with “Miša’s Fugue” on March 14.

All movies will begin at 7 p.m. at the Fishers Library, located at 5 Municipal Drive. Participants must be 12 years or older and are encouraged to bring their own favorite movie snacks. Registration for each program is required and can be completed by visiting www.help.lib.in.us. Click on Calendar of Events, find the month of your event, select the event and register from there.
