[ARCHIVED] Volunteer to Make a Meaningful Impact during Keep Fishers Beautiful

Keep Fishers Beautiful (KFB) was created out of the City’s desire to partner alongside residents, volunteers and local businesses, all working to maintain Fishers’ status as a top community to live in. This fall, KFB is growing and expanding with new ways to make a meaningful impact!

The fall edition of KFB will take place on Saturday, September 9th, and is themed Roadways & Waterways as the city works to beautify popular corridors. Taking place from 8 a.m. to noon, there are opportunities for residents of all ages to roll up their sleeves and dive in.
  • Volunteers/volunteer groups interested in participating should consider the age of volunteers and anticipated work that will be done at each project site. For the most part, projects fall into two categories: near the White River or on land.Individuals interested in volunteering with the White River Alliance can register ahead of time or on site the morning of the event. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but parents, your supervision is required during the event.
  • Individuals interested in completing work in other areas will be charged with projects along various roads in Fishers. Additional details, including specific locations, will be disclosed closer to the event. Pre-registration is appreciated ahead of time for this project, and volunteers should be 16 years of age or older. Pre-registration is appreciated by August 28th and can be completed by emailing Dan Domsic at domsicd@fishers.in.us or by calling him at 317-595-3151.
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and free lunch for participating. All supplies will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Groups are encouraged to sign up together!

Attention local businesses, Keep Fishers Beautiful returns September 9th and offers a day of community engagement, meaningful volunteerism, and fun team-building for your staff. Visit www.fishers.in.us/KFB to explore two different projects you can sign up to assist with, and to sign up today!
