October 30, 2018 (FISHERS, IND.) – Shop Fishers, the citywide celebration of Small Business Saturday, returns for its fifth year on November 24. Participating businesses around Fishers will offer special deals and promotions to help celebrate the nationwide initiative to shop small and shop local.
New this year, the Fishers Winter Farmers’ Market will join the celebration. The first 50 market shoppers will receive $5 in Market Bucks to be redeemed at any market vendors, and several vendors are offering specials of their own. The market is open 9 a.m. until noon at Holland Park, located at 1 Park Drive, Fishers.
Another new addition to this year’s event is the “Shop Fishers Music Hall,” a special pop-up lounge for shoppers conveniently located in the heart of downtown Fishers in the warmth and comfort of City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Drive, Fishers. Take a break from shopping and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, accompanied by live music from the local performing arts organization, Fishers Music Works. Carolers, soloists, a jazz band, and other musicians and entertainers will take to the City Hall stage to perform their holiday favorites and seasonal tunes. The “Shop Fishers Music Hall” is made possible through a special community arts grant by Nickel Plate Arts and will also include an art exhibit, presented by Fishers Arts Council. Much of the exhibited artwork will be available for purchase.
