[ARCHIVED] Fishers Police Investigate Fatal Crash On I69

Fishers, (Indiana) – Yesterday afternoon an Indianapolis man was killed, and two road construction workers were seriously injured following a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 69 in Fishers.

Shortly after 2pm Fishers police responded to a motor vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of I69 near the 204-mile marker. The crash involved a 2015 Ford van and a 2018 Ford Truck. The driver of the van was deceased at the scene. The driver and passenger of the truck were seriously injured and transported to an area hospital by the Fishers Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

The Fishers Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team responded. Based on witness statements and evidence collected at the scene it appears that both vehicles were traveling southbound when the two vehicles collided. This crash remains under investigation. The southbound lanes of Interstate 69 were partially closed for approximately three hours during the at-scene investigation.
