Fishers, (Indiana) Fishers police arrest a man for breaking into cars in the Silverton Neighborhood.

Shortly after midnight, on September 29th, Fishers Police Officers responded to the 14900 block of Dennison Drive after a resident reported a suspicious person looking into cars. As officers arrived in the area they observed a vehicle leaving the neighborhood at a high rate of speed. Officers initiated a traffic stop and the suspect vehicle fled.

A short pursuit ensued before the driver bailed out and fled on foot. Officers chased the suspect, but lost sight of him as he entered a wooded area. An extensive search was conducted, using K9s and drones, however the suspect was not located. The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s with dark hair and wearing a black sweatshirt.

The investigation continued throughout the day as Detectives followed up on several leads. As a result of this work, Detectives were able to identify and locate the suspect, Tod Kirchgraber. Mr. Kirchgraber was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

The Fishers Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind residents of the importance of double checking your car is locked before going to bed. We encourage everyone to follow the #9pmroutine and Lock it, Hide it, Keep it.
