Not going out of town for fall break? Join us at Ritchey Woods for two fun, fall break mornings from 9 a.m. to noon at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve. On Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25, residents and children ages 6-10 are invited to become young scientists as they dissect owl pellets. But that’s not all—additional activities include hiking, games, exploring the LEAPZone and crafts.
Snacks are covered, too. Participants can make caramel apples, taste test some crazy popcorn flavors and even make their own edible owl pellet. Cost is $24 for residents and $36 for nonresidents. This is a drop off programs and parents are not required to stay.
