[ARCHIVED] FPD Investigates Fatal Crash

(Fishers, Indiana) – Fishers police investigate a fatal motor vehicle crash on Olio Road north of 96th Street.

Shortly before 5:30pm on Friday, September 10th the Fishers Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a blue Honda CRV passenger vehicle and a black Yamaha XSR motorcycle. Upon arrival officers observed both vehicles in the roadway. The driver, of the Honda, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The driver of the Yamaha suffered critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital by Paramedics from the Fishers Department of Fire and Emergency Services. The driver of the Yamaha succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The Fishers Police Department Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene. Preliminary evidence and witness statements indicate the crash occurred when the Yamaha, traveling northbound, collided with the Honda as it was turning southbound from Geist Crossing Road This crash remains under investigation.
